Psychic Self-Defense by Dion Fortune
This book is a must in any Witch's library. It is the foundation upon which you will build your craft. It will teach you how to protect yourself while wading in the magical waters. One must know how to protect themselves before they can even think about helping others. When one enters the spiritual realms of the witch without much knowledge; they put themselves out there for psychic attack, hauntings, and maybe a possible curse. Know how to keep yourself clean and clear of these things by reading this book. It is a must.
Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson
As hardcore as this book is, I highly recommend this one. This book lays out what witchcraft truly is and not the watered down versions that are everywhere today. This book goes through the arts of love spells, healing spells, hexings, necromancy, and coven work. This book is not sugar coated in any way and should be taken with a "pinch of salt." 95% of the material is very practical and should be used and incorporated into one's everyday craft but that other 5% can be pushed to the side and examined later to rethink if you wish to practice it. This book belongs on any occult library shelf!
The Witches Book of the Dead by Christian Day
Another must own! Simply the best, possibly the only, book specifically directed to witch about working with the dead. Written in such a way that anyone can understand and practice the arts of necromancy. Allow the shades of the dead to do your magical wills and deeds. With instructions on how to erect your altar of the dead, the tools of working with the dead, and how to conjure, summon, and stir up the spirits of the dead to make your magic happen.
"This book has changed the way I do my witchcraft. Now that I work with the dead my magic has been accurate and down right astonishing on how my spells come to manifest! Honoring my passed friends and relatives not only has proven to be therapeutic in accepting the fact that they are no longer in the physical world with me but also has shown me how powerful of a Warlock I am." - Jesse Gillespie
